The bronze medal winner of the Deaf Futsal World Championship has been determined
Today, we are nearing the end of the Deaf Futsal World Championship, taking place for the first time in Kazakhstan. This trilling tournament has provided us with new emotions and impressions. Throughout these days, we excitedly followed the games of each team supporting them every match and celebrated their victories on the parquet. Athletes from different countries of the world have demonstrated their high level of skill and technique of ball control. However, the main opponents will face off in the finals of the championship – the national teams of Kazakhstan and Iran, that managed to defeat Uzbekistan and Brazil yesterday. So, they secure their places in the final game. What is more, earlier this two teams had met each other in the previous competition that was held in Malaysia. But who will win this time? Ukrainian team emerged victorious against the Saudi Arabia
The teams of Ukraine and Saudi Arabia fought for the fifth place in the competition today. The athletes of Ukraine opened the score in the 15 th minute of the game. Then, the score was tied, but the Ukrainians managed to register 4 goals during the first half of the match. Recall that yesterday they defeated Thailand in extra time in the penalty shoot-out. So this game ended with a score of 7-4 in favor of Ukrainian team, winning the match for fifth place.
After the game, we were able to take a short interview with the coach of the Ukraina:
«The organization of the tournament is at an excellent level. The sports arena is gorgeous. We assembled and prepared the team just in one month. In general, we are hoping to show our skills again» says him.
Brazilians won the third place with the score of 3-7
Today’s game concluded with a match between Uzbekistan and Brazil, who competed for the third place. The first goal scored Brazilian players, but Uzbekistan tried to close the gap. Nevetheless, brazilians managed to maintain their victory.
« So, it was a long tournament. And of course, from the beginning we worked very hard until we reached the third place. Before U-21 , we did not participate in any championship. However, Brazil was always practicing and playing football, even if not participating in championships. Now it is the first time in the U-21 futsal competition. We try to teach each player and develop them to change their mistakes» says the coach.
