“Deaf Futsal World Championship historically Kicks Off in Kazakhstan: DIFA President’s Vision Unveiled”
In a groundbreaking event, Kazakhstan proudly reveal the draw for the forthcoming World Futsal Championship today. It marks a significant achievement as our country prepares to host this prestigious event for the first time. Moreover, we were able to obtain the perspective of the DIFA President regarding the upcoming matches. Initially, Yakov Frenkel expressed his gratitude to the organizing committee for the amazing help and support with the deaf futsal tournament.
«Thus, the genesis of deaf futsal traces back to International Committe of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) which has incredibly been functioning since 1924. So from 1924 until 2006, there was only football. After so many years, in 2006, the futsal started. What is more, The Under-21 Championship was first held in Thailand in 2017» he says.
President also disclosed the organization’s upcoming strategies following the conclusion of the World Deaf Futsal Championships in Kazakhstan.
Yakov Frenkel added: «After we finish this championship, we will of course work on different projects with DIFA and ICSD in the future. Furthermore, we will work to determine the hosting country for the remaining championships. And I also hope that ICSD and DIFA will develop sports for deaf children»
« And of course, we saw very positive hospitality for the deaf futsal and the president of organizing committee, Mr Meirambek. We did not face any problem. So the support of Kazakhstan to the deaf futsal was very powerful. Of course, we hope for the best».
